Introduction
Medical Parasitology is the study of diseases of humans caused by parasites.
This course aims to provide students of medicine training in the theoretical and practical aspects of medical parasitology, covering the protozoan and metazoan parasites of humans and the vectors which transmit them.
On completion of this course the students will have the competence to understand and discuss the cases of parasitic diseases seen in the wards and also thereafter as a future doctor for diagnosing parasitic diseases.
Parasitology will be taught during the 5th semester in the medical curriculum
