SAITM Faculty of Engineering is one of the pioneering not-state engineering faculties in Sri Lanka. It has been home to more than 500 Engineering students whom are already into post graduate studies in world renowned universities or in leading Engineering firms. SAITM offers a unique learning experience with its ministry approved local Engineering degree programs along with its strong collaborations with world leading universities such as RMIT - Australia, University of Newcastle - Australia, and Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) - Thailand.
Three departments of SAITM faculty of Engineering are full of highly qualified academic staff, and they provide state-of-the-art facilities with their high class laboratories and learning environments. It focuses on student-centred education to equip students with theoretical knowledge, technical skills, and practical experience to provide work-ready Engineering graduates. SAITM Research Symposium [RSEA]
RSEA is designed to bring university students, researchers, academics and industrialists together in an open and interactive forum that recognizes new theoretical developments and their applications, engineering and scientific challenges, practical barriers and methods of overcoming them towards a sustainable development.
SAITM Robotics Challenge [SRC]
SAITM Robotics Challenge 2016 (SRC '16) is opened to undergraduates from universities around the country. The challenge is to develop an autonomous robot that can arrange objects in a grid based arena. The robot wins the challenge if it can complete the task and return to start position within the shortest possible time.
